VMS Update on reopening:

I hope you have kept well during this pandemic and the 'synchro shutdown'. As the province moves into phase 2 of re-opening post-pandemic, the executive figured it is best to touch base with our members to let you know what the plan is. We held our AGM in February and we have a slightly different board now: Meghan, myself (Erin), Rhonda, Jenn, and Melinda all continue to serve, and we are joined by Lise Schrag - welcome! We met recently and have determined that we are able to refund more of the fees swimmers paid for the 2020-2021 season due to a couple of factors - lower expenses than expected and BC Artistic Swimming registrations were significantly less this season. In addition to the previous refund that was available due to missed practices, we are now refunding $140 to all our eligible swimmers. As before, you have the option to leave this on file with us and use as a credit for the 2021-2022 season, or you can request it to be e-transferred to you. Since the provincial reopening is happening over the summer beyond when our usual season would run, we have decided that we will aim for a re-opening of VMS practices for the 2021-2022 season.
