Hello all,
As you know the Province of BC has updated the instructions for isolation. The previous requirement was 14 days but it has now changed to a requirement that all fully vaccinated people with mild symptoms only need to isolate for 5 days following a positive COVID test, COVID symptoms. If you have been asymptomatic for a full 24 hours at the 5 day mark you may return to activities. If you are still asymptomatic at 5 days, you must isolate for another 5 days (10 days total).
This assumes strict mask wearing upon return but we are not able to wear masks in the water.
For this reason, we have given teams a choice:
1. If asymptomatic for a full 24 hours following isolation, athletes may return to practice but must remain at least 2 meters (2.5 is better) away from all other athletes when no wearing a mask.
2. Large teams may decide that everyone isolate for 10 days after illness or exposure since masks can't be worn in the water and large teams may find it easier to separate.
There is no longer a requirement to track attendance after practice.
